Unity of Tampa is pleased to welcome songwriter and author David Friedman speaking on his latest book, Help is on the Way – From Places You Don’t Know About Today, based on his song of healing, hope and inspiration. Book signing follows! One of the country’s most beloved songwriters, David Friedman is best known for writing songs that touch our hearts and speak to our souls. He has written songs for everyone from Disney to Diana Ross, and produced all of the late/great Nancy LaMott’s CD’s and wrote many of her best-known songs. Other credits include conducting and arranging vocals for six Broadway musicals and numerous Disney Animated Films including Beauty & the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. He wrote the music for the Off Broadway hit musical, Desperate Measures, winning the 2018 Drama Desk, Outer Critics’ Circle and Off-Broadway Alliance awards. David Friedman has performed his Off- Broadway revue, Listen To My Heart – The Songs of David Friedman to audiences Off Broadway, and all over America and abroad. In an effort to give back some of the lessons he’s learned in his fulfilling and varied career, David has written six books, including the groundbreaking The Thought Exchange®-Overcoming Our Resistance to Living a SENSATIONAL Life, and We Can Be Kind – Healing Our World One Kindness at a Time (based on his song of the same name).
