Spiritual Leader
Rev. Nancy Mercurio has been a member of Unity of Tampa since 1999 and has served as minister since the fall of 2020. She is an ordained Unity Minister as well as an ordained Interfaith Minister with a doctorate in ministry.
Nancy is also the co-founder of Leadership Training Systems Inc. She has spent 30 years as a behavioral specialist, executive coach, consultant, and trainer, helping leaders and organizations drive successful outcomes by bringing out the best in their employees.
During her time away from Unity of Tampa, Rev. Nancy served as minister of Together In Peace Inc. (TIP), a global non-profit mission she co-founded with her husband, Jeffrey King. Through a variety of outreach initiatives, bi-weekly Sunday services, with a focus on improving peace, tolerance, and acceptance in the world, they built a following of 8000+ on social media with Sunday messages viewed by thousands bi-weekly.
In 2025, Rev. Nancy received the prestigious Myrtle Fillmore Award given by Unity Worldwide Ministries. Named for the Unity Movement’s co-founder, Myrtle Fillmore, the award recognizes those ordained Unity ministers who have shown exemplary dedication and service to their congregation and community.
Since returning to Unity of Tampa, Nancy has taken a servant leadership approach, working with the Board, Staff, and Volunteers to create a community-based, mission-centric focus. Her personal journey has led her to live a God-centered life and empower others to do the same. She recently completed the process to become a Ministry Consultant, providing workshops and individual consultations to other Unity ministries.
Executive Director
Jeffrey King has been a member of Unity of Tampa since 1999 and currently serves as Executive Director, overseeing administrative functions and facilities, including building expansion and remodel projects. He also manages all broadcasting and technology needs. Experience at Unity of Tampa has included serving as President of the Board for 6 years and as a choir member for 13 years.
Having completed over 120 hours of SEE courses through Unity Spiritual Institute, Jeffrey has a deep understanding of the Fillmore’s and Unity’s 5 Principles which he has applied to his personal life for decades.
